Fri.(6-18); After earning a 1-1 tie in their first World Cup game against England, with Clint Dempsey scoring, they managed a 2-2 tie with Slovenia in what should have been a 3-2 win but Jozy Altidore's 85th minute goal was negated for no apparent reason.
Thurs.(6-10); L.A. product David Beckham has been scouting the U.S./Australia exhibition for his English team, which means that the U.S. will have to be prepared for their opponents from across the pond early in the game, which is expected to be more physical than usual.
Two years ago, the U.S. lost, 2-0, to England in a friendly at Wembley Stadium. This should provide better results than that, though. This is the first of a series of 3, though and this may get the most attention.
Honestly, though, I still have my concerns with the U.S. having lost to Czech Republic and having to come back in their following game, to win.
A strong game will provide a good one.
