Thurs.(12-2) Russia beat out England and other countries that were competing for the right to host the 2018 World Cup, as announced by FIFA. The 2022 decision went to Qatar, to the disappointment of the U.S.A. and other competing nations. So it's back to starting over for the U.S., as FIFA decided to go with countries who have yet to host the World's biggest event.

 English Premier League;

(3-8); Everton FC, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds EPL partner, scored twice in the second half to defeat Liverpool, 2-1 at Goodison Park. They move on to the Semifinals. 

1-26; Fulham hosted Kellerton Town, winning, 4-2 with former New England Revolution mf Clint Dempsey earning an assist.

 On Saturday, Chelsea visted Stokes City and came away with a last minute win, courtesy of a bast from about 20 yards out as Frank Lampart blasted a shot that deflected inside the left post in the 94th minute as the Blues defeated S.C, 2-1 in stoppage time.

 Chelsea, in their Blue, and Stokes City, looking like C.D. Chivasusa(MLS) in their Red and White, battled to the end, but Chelsea scored twice late, to the delight of their fans.
