(Top; G.T.S. Weekly jacket; find out how to get one, if interested.
second down; current picture of me in my work shirt.
Bottom; Old picture of myself)
The jacket(pictured at the top) can be yours when you join and the cost is just 85 cents, until New Years Day. Since Monday is being observed as New Years Day, new members will be accepted on Sunday, until Midnight. You will also get tickets to a Pittsburgh Riverhounds(USL PRO) game of your choice!
If you would like to order just Riverhounds coverage, you pay just $23.80. But the whole season is for $30.00. That does not include postage, which can be avoided if you preferr fax service.
As of Monday, the cost will increase to $1 per week, 7 months for the 'Hounds and 9 months overall.
Procedure; Send in your order with payment, and I'll send you a receipt when it arrives. You will received your newsletters when the action starts, in March. When the Riverhounds schedule comes out, I'll send it and you can pick your game of choice(due out in Jan.).
In each newsletter you will find pictures, box scores, articles and highlights, standings, schedules, post-game thoughts(when possible) and coverage of all the domestic leagues, as well as the National teams, CONCACAF, World Cup LHUSOC and Everton FC(Riverhounds EPL partner). In addition to updates on former 'Hounds. Your input is also important.
Fri.(11-23); I'm single, unattached and I have a dog, Midnight-who is a 10 year old black lab.
I'm 5'9", 162 lbs and 55. I love covering soccer, but I also like dancing, pasta, and meeting new people. I am shy, but I speak out when I have something that I believe in.
I've gotten tired of the dating sites since they only look for getting money, and I have had no results.
I'm looking for a single woman who is compasionate and romantic and understanding to my needs, and a good listener. She must be willing to accept soccer and love animals(I don't want anyone who has a zoo). One or two animals is fine.
I've been mislead so many times for absolutely no reason. I'm just looking for an honest relationship and everytime I feel as though I have found a friend, it turns out not to be the case.
She must accept who I am and what I believe in. I had always believed that a friend is just that, for life, thru good and bad. I have learned just how judgemental people are today, unfortunately. Nobody looks at the inner beauty, it's all about looks.
As far as what I do, I promote soccer and I cover the Pittsburgh Riverhounds(USL PRO), which I've been doing since 1999, actually 1995.
Fri.(12-9) As of today, 2 have replied to my offer of free subscription, which ends with the arrival of the New Year. I have two renewal ads on the way.
If you are interested in renewing or joining, please contact me, asap! The New year arrives in 3 weeks!!
Mon.(1-17) I still don't have half the members that I had last season, but the 2011 prices are in affect.
I'm hoping to me more aggressive this year in gaining exposure. The 'Hounds deserve to be known, and so does this publication. I've not gotten any feedback and nobody has purchased membership, despite the offer. I need to change that.
Fri.(12-3) As of now I have 3 members, 2 official, one not yet, and looking for more. I'm hoping to have more than the 30 of this past year.
I've been going thru my files from past years and I came across one from a former SID at CMU. She told me how much she enjoyed reading about my coverage and what I put in each newsletter. She also asked me to let her know what I needed from her as the season began.
I don't hear that enough and I hope my circunation grows and I hear more from my readers.
(6-9); First, let me tell you about me;
I'm a single man of 54 and I live with my dog, Midnight. She is a 10-year old black lab that I've had for about 5 years. Please, don't let my picture scare you, it's a few years old. You have to like animals for us to get along.
While I get tired of being single, my work and Midnight keep me busy(caring for her), she is my best friend(I find women to be very untrusting. Trust works both ways and you have to earn mine).
I'm still trying to find a long term relationship, but I have a hard time trying to find a friend.
Anyway, I've been a long time fan of soccer, since watching the N.Y. Cosmos(NASL) on tv during the 70's as I was raised on Long IIsland.
I lived there until Sept. 15, 1987 when I moved here to Pittsburgh, Pa. as a solo.
I'm against gay marriage, I'm a conservative Republican and I believe in living together before marriage. I'm also a Catholic.
I began this publication in 1996, around the time that MLS was announced and just after our indoor soccer team, the Pgh Stingers(CISL) folded.
I've been doing this for more than a decade now and I've learned a lot in the process. I've had misc jobs prior, but I've found that nothing beats working on your own and being your own boss with nobody to answer to(aside from the customers). I do all my work myself and I take pride in it. I started it because the local media decided to stop covering the Riverhounds after they moved out of Bethel Park H.S. Stadium, in 2004. I'm still struggling for respect and I'm always promoting.
Personally, besides soccer, I like to watch the Pirates(tv only) and the Penguins and I like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(NFL). Sorry, I'm not a Steelers fan(although I like Coach Mike Tomlin).
I feel a true friend should be with you thru bad and good times and communication and honesty are important. I'm sensitive, romantic and caring and I feel a good relationship should include cuddling, kissing and hand holding and I also like to cook and I clean. I good relationship should be even on both sides.
I'm catholic(though I've not been to service in a while), a Repub-lican and a conservative. I'm also part irish, part German and part Italian.
I guess you could say that I'm a loner, but that's because I don't have anyone that I could consider a real friend, someone who is committed and knows the meaning of the word friend. Why has it become so hard in this society?
In the words of songwriter Billy Joel, 'Honesty, is such a lonely word"
Another song quote, Surviver in 'Searching, "If you really love me, show me that you give a damn"

Note; the Pittsburgh Phantoms are 1-0 after beating Youngstown, 94-87, on Sat.
The Phantoms(2-0) defeated the New York Red Raiders, of Elmira(2-3), 117-114, at Court Time.
The Phantoms hosted Maryland, winning by 8 over the Marvels to earn a 3-0 record.
The Phantoms games against the West Virginia Blazers(Sat.) and at Maryland(Sun) were postponed to the big snow storm. Their next scheduled game is on January 2nd vs. New York City Thunder(cancelled, snow).
The Phantoms have won their last two games, beating visiting Akron(146-129) here on Saturday and defeating host West Virginia(111-106) on Sunday in front of 200.
They hosted the Blazers on Wednesday, winning, 110-108, in Munhall. There was no showing on USStream.tv, and I had to visit the West Virginia Blazers website for the score.
I called a number on the Phantoms site tonight and was told that their game(listed as Sat.) tonight was cancelled.

Even if you live out of the area(in or out of Pa.) , if you're interested I'm glad to have you! The cost of an ad is just $52 per year and check or money order to be made out to me(since I don't have the supporters yet to establish a bank account for it).

I read books when I was little, but I first found my writer's interest after a trip to Ireland, when I wrote about my trip at which time others in the group that I was in(including our host) paid me so they could purchase copies of it. The trip happened a year before my move out here(1987).
In the over ten years, coaches have relied on G.T.S. for providing who the standout players in the WPIAL were for scouting and readers have enjoyed the in-depth coverage of the Riverhounds action.
The Hounds also appreciate the coverage provided at their home games!
